Cab / Limo at LV airport.

I thought there would be 1000 posts on this, much like tipping. I could not find any.

I am flying to vegas march 9th, arrive around 8pm. I am assuming the cab lines will be long. How much are limos? Are there better options to get to a mid-strip casino?

The option I like (but no one else seems to care for) is Las Vegas Limo. Go out Gate 14 (I think) down by the Southwest baggage claim. Las Vegas Limos loads people randomly (about 6) into their limos and takes them to their hotels. It is only $7 for the trip to the strip. Here is the best part (I think) -- they drop the people off at their respective hotels, so you kind of get a free tour of the strip until you get to your stop. So when you arrive, for $7, you get drove around the strip a little while in a limo. Plus you get to meet some other travelers during the ride.

Flying solo - cardcounter has it covered. Flying plural cab will cost the same and the cab line moves very quickly.

I came across that when searching for limo options, but didn't know if I had a long wait, just like taxis.

thanks for the response.

3 of us are going. If the cab line moves quickly, I guess I won't have a problem. I usually rent a car, so no real experience with friday night cabs. It's just that I've seen some incredible lines, and I think I'm arriving at a peak time, ~8pm on a friday.

I took this. It took almost an hour after dropping all the other people off in a clunky van and cost almost the same as a cab ($5/person for this, $7-8 for a cab), then they stood me up when I had scheduled my return back to the airport and had to scramble to get a cab from the long line.

Yes, that is it, but they have limos that they run too instead of the shuttles. Millions of people arrive in Las Vegas every month, the cabs load fast, even if the line is long you aren't going to be waiting.

For me, 3 = cab. They load cabs in flights of 25 cabs at a time. The line moves. Unless you have something set up to before you arrive (a lot more $) - cab line.

I was in that line on a friday night a couple weeks ago. 45 minutes from the time I got in line till I got into a cab. Typical weekend at the airport.
