Put in a bet here and if you are reraised, dump it.

Re: 50NL 6m- AA vs. TAG
Pretty good card given drawy flop. Call raise --> bet/fold turn is a line I often take. Prob good here as Antinome suggested.
Against some aggro villains I'd shove flop or check-raise turn all in if the card is right. History/reads help if you take an aggro line though. |
Re: 50NL 6m- AA vs. TAG
He's raising you on a semi-bluff IMO. I would have actually re-raised the flop.

Re: 50NL 6m- AA vs. TAG
i'm guessing you saw 66/22/88 here alot. if villan is decent, i MIGHT consider dumping on the flop, mainly because at this level, most decent players will not raise the flop here w. a hand like 99 or something, nor with A8/etc (or make bluff raises as often). hearts might be in his hand range but i think that very often you see a set here.
anyways, i would typically either shove flop or c/r ai on the turn because i am a station/bad player. as played, bet/fold is an okay plan, though if you bet like $20, it leaves you with $15 behind w. a good overpair so im not sure if thats the answer. use your gut and go with it. |

Re: 50NL 6m- AA vs. TAG
Yeah, stack sizes..... we'd be calling like 15 to win nearly a 100 dollar pot ... to hit a better two pair or an A.... 6 outs plus 2, 16%, 2 outs vs. sets, 4% relative frequncy 50-50.... we need 13%, getting 10%... Add in some flush draws with the Kh and insanity and I think we can call. OK.
So we're getting it all in on the turn or flop. Orange is right. |
Re: 50NL 6m- AA vs. TAG
You have the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] which makes a heart draw much less likely. Keep this in mind in the future.
If not a heart draw then set, 99-KK, maybe 9T hearts. Thought the K on the turn was a blank but now I wonder with that range. The only reason I'm doing all this thinking is because it's here in the forum. In real play I would have pushed that flop to rep. a nut flush draw in hopes of a lower overpair calling. Again your having the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] factors in on that push. |
