discouraging email from Full Tilt regarding check withdraws

Just recieved this 2 hours ago, if there has been a thread with this, feel free to delete. I got 4th 2 sundays ago in the big mtt and need to take off $20,000 that is beyond what is needed for play. any suggestions that someone has actually gotton to work for significant amounts that doesn't amount to "checks in the mail" for over a month are warmly welcomed.

Hello Steven,

Thank you for sending your documentation to Full Tilt Poker Customer
Support.

We are pleased to confirm that we received legible copies of your ID.
Your account is now cleared to receive checks.

At this time, we regret that we are unable to deliver checks by UPS to
US residents. Your check will be sent through regular post delivery, and
should be delivered in 25-35 business days.

To request a new withdrawal, log into your Full Tilt Poker account and
click on the "Cashier" button and then select "Withdraw". Please
remember: we only issue checks for amounts from $300 to a maximum of
$10,000. If the request is under $300 and not your remaining balance,
your cash out will be sent to the most recent payment processor listed
for your account.

For all checks, please allow 5 business days for internal processing.
Business days are Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm ET. Please note that if you
request a check after 5pm ET Friday, processing does not begin until the
following Monday.

If you would like to change your preferred payment processor or
preferred delivery method, you should email us at
support@fulltiltpoker.com 1-2 days before submitting your withdrawal. We
can then process your withdrawal as desired.

Best of luck, and thanks for choosing Full Tilt Poker.

Sincerely,

Abbey
Full Tilt Poker Support

Was this a request for greater than the $10k maximum?

nope, it was 10k. the amount doesn't really matter though, aparently UPS wont carry checks for them anymore. thats the news.

The only thing I've ever heard of UPS not shipping has been radioactive/hazardous material. Sanofabitch FT is trying to do something sinister to you. Let's all hope it's just gross CS incompetence again.

Correct, they are trying to discourage cash outs.

well, i don't see how they could mess this up, and if it wasn't UPS refusing, then Full Tilt need a month before I cash the check. that would be even worse.

i really donno what to make of this

Re: discouraging email from Full Tilt regarding check withdraws

i just sent this reply, blah, just blah.

When did that change, and what is the reason. UPS is still listed as an option in your withdraw window.

Is it not an option for anyone, or just for me? Does it become an option again if I lower the amount of my withdraw?

you say "At this time, we regret that we are unable to deliver checks by UPS to US residents." So can I have it delivered to an address outside of the United States?

Is there a physical location for full tilt poker? Could I get on a plane, fly to wherever and pick up my money in person?

Is USP refusing to deliver for you or are you short on readily availible cash?

As you are currently my "bank" and I have $xxx dollars in my account, I deserve some answers here.

Looking forward to some clarification in this time of confusion,
thanks, Steve

This seems most likely. UPS dropped Stars (and maybe all gaming companies?) because they don't want to be aiding and abetting "illegal online gambling."

Discouraging, because little things like this can add up and make it hard to operate a business.

Anyone getting checks by UPS delivery from other sites?

How hard would it be to set up a payment processing office, give it a silly name, and get a new UPS/FedEx customer account?

Answer: Not very!

You could even get a new account number online and take the checks to a drop off center/store. It seems unreasonable that Full Tilt (or anyone else) could be thwarted by a closed customer account.
