LIMIT. I doubt you'll find limit in those cities (or any other in Europe bar Vienna).

Is this your first time on tour Mike? I hope your prepared to play pot limit, from my understanding (mostly from reading Rolf's articles/book) limit is not common in this part of Europe.

Note to Anglophiles: Gutshot in the UK is no more, the UK courts declared Poker a game of chance yesterday, and therefore the Gutshot owner has to pay a fine and shut down since its considered an illegal gambling establishment.

I think your best bet is Holland. I think France is mostly pot limit, similar to England.

A couple years back the Holland Casino Amsterdam had a pretty regular Eu10/Eu20 game. Not sure if that's been supplanted by some other game.

One place they do play limit consistently is Barcelona. The consistent games when I was there about a year and a half ago were Eu20/Eu40 limit holdem and Eu5/Eu5 PLO.

just wanted to add that the rake in europe is ridiculous. i.e. the holland casino has a 5% rake up to 15 euros in their limit games

And don't forget the cover charge, I think it was 14 Euros in Deauville, and smoking was required. On the plus side, no dealer tips were allowed and they had a dress code.

Aviation Club in Paris is a must

Casino Holland in Amsterdam, link: Casino Holland

If you can I really recommend the casino in Scheveningen, its close to Amsterdam. Wherever you are in Holland, you will have a casino only 20 min away. Its dutch casino policy. Scheveningen is like Baden (Austria) or Baden-Baden (Germany) a very small town where the really exclusive casino is the main attraction. Highrollers from all over europe travel there, leaves their wife at the nearest SPA and then goes and burns serious money in the Salle Prives of the casino

By reading your posts and the stakes you play, I doubt you will find those kind of poker games you like to play. Also, as others have mentioned, be prepered to play Pot Limit. Limit is not a big thing here

Check out Gamingfloor for more info!

Enjoy Amsterdam, its the best

Most places are "smart casual", ie. no Shorts, t-shirts, athletic apparel, sneakers, etc. Some places may be coat and tie, so it's best to check ahead. Also, don't forget to bring your passport to the club.

good luck
