10/20 no-limit passive AA hand

Hey guys, long time reader. I'd like your opinions on my play in this hand. This hand was on Party 10/20 from about a week ago, so its from memory.

I have about $4500 and my opponent covers me with over $10000. I have not played with him long, and I doubled up my stack recently with two pair against a terrible player. So I don't know much about this player, but I assumed that he must be competent to have such a big stack. I noticed that he is pretty tight before the flop.

I open one off the button with red AA, and he calls on the button.

Flop is J82 all different suits. I usually bet here, but I didn't want to play a big pot this deep and checked. He bets about $130 into the $170 pot.

Turn is a K. I check and he bets $400 after pausing a bit. I call. River is a J. The pot is $1230, and we have $3500 behind.

I'm not sure what to do here. The J is a pretty bad card, and he might try to bluff me out right? Should I make a small bet, like 700 and fold to a raise? Thanks.

I apologize if this is a boring hand. But I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Youve really gotta bet somewhere....
I think if you check, he's betting river a very large % of the time.
Edit - id check call probably.

as played it looks a lot like you have a weak hand that wants to see a showdown

villian could bluff with any two or valubet his K

i check call any bet

The J isn't really a bad card. I don't see why it's any more likely that he has a J than an 8, T9, any PP, or air.

I definitely check and decide what to do after I see the bet. I'm calling most of the time though.

I think the J is a good card for you because it is unlikely that he bets the K-turn with a Jack. You are never calling with a worse hand and it seems like a bad spot to turn his 2nd pair into a bluff.
A bet on the river looks a lot like a J that was afraid to play a big pot but now made trips on the river to get value from a K. If you bet, I think you have to fold to a raise.
But I like c/c more as he probably valuebets a good King anyways and tries to bluff you off your hand a decent amount. If you lose I think its more likely to a full house than to a J.

It is a perfect spot to just check and call here. Maybe you get value out of a weak king here if you bet but often he bets that hand for you. More EV+ to check and call here i think.

he doesnt have a naked J very often to bet that turn... so its not really a bad river card in that you are often beat before that river if the card improved him.

you should probs bet the flop or the turn tho... as played probs a check call but youve made it hard on yourself.
