I [censored] up, 200bb 5-10

Villan is fishy. Only hand I really remeber is when he coldcalled a raise with AKo, then called my flop lead with A high and river bet with A high. So in this hand im trying to get most value out of AK AQ type hands. Maybe river is a check /fold? Guys like that wouldnt tend to value bet river with just an ace (maybe he would, donks can be tricky to predict) and it is possible a donk would play trips this way up to the river. Wtv, tell me where you think I [censored] up the most. Preflop not included.

This is like the most standard hand ever. He's a station, why would you ever slow down before he raises you?

preflop is fine, fold to the river raise.

I predicted the lost before I read the results. I think you know where you srewed up. You should have priced him out on the turn. That was a super safe card. The only legit hand that can call your raise on the flop is an open ender or Big Ace. If he had made a set all your money would have went in on the flop. If he had made Aces UP the flop pot would have been bigger. So therefore the only possible calling hand is Q - 10 suited.

Better luck next time. I bet you won't make the same mistake tonight!

No. Not if you bet the turn & river like that. The river raise is just to small, he's basically priced in and dead to the str8. There's no way any one would try a bluff here. That would be rookyish.

Can you explain that bet size? That overbet seems it's going to be hard to get value. Is that determined from the deep stack size?
