SMP Ring Game
 

Rduke, this is going to be off-topic for this forum, but moving it is useless, so if you must, just close it.

I'm very curious as to whether we actually have any good poker players in this forum. I'm much more curious to see how much fun and hilarity would ensure from a SMP game. I think its doable, but the question is, who would you all want to have seats?

We would have to agree on modest stakes, I think, although I honestly have no idea what levels you guys all play at. I think this would be a great time. My tentative list, assuming I'm giving myself a seat in this juicy, juicy game:

Me
Madnak
Boro
Skidoo/Sharkey
Chezlaw
Bluff (only cause I know he is an omaha donk and there is no WAY we are playing omaha)
NR
RDuke
And obviously DS, although I doubt he'd play.

No one is invited yet, no idea if we even want to do this. Anyone can throw their hat into the ring though, I haven't given any thought to how we would decide who plays.

I'm game, middle limit holdem is my game but low stakes I'll play anything.

Yeah I was thinking something like 3/6 LHE or 1/2 NL? That seems like its money worth playing for but nothing that would hurt any of us too badly. But I just assume that all of you have real jobs and arent dirt poor like me and (presumably) madnak.

Secretely (or not, now) I do too, which is part of the explanation for my list. Its a pretty fair mix, plus they are all very frequent posters here. Think of how hilarious railbirding this would be? I can promise I will be quite drunk were this to go off.

Yeah, hmm. I'd get crucified, but I might consider it. It would have to be later on though, I'm going on a trip to Utah from the 8th to the 17th. And I might not last long - I cashed out my (small) BR at the time of the recent legislation.

I’ll play NL. I figure most of you guys play limit, so I might have a shot. Good idea, btw. Sounds like fun.

You can do tourneys, but I hate tourneys. I’d do sit and go, but not a big fan of them either.


We can have a scheduled night of the week for a few weeks, so anyone who wants can play at some point.

FYI, Lestat's got game (limit). I'd rather battle him on the forums.

Don't make it a grudge match but if you do Andyfox and LeStat might be handy.
