NFL Playoff Matchup Q
When can two teams from the same division play each other?
A)Whenever (3 vs 6, 4 vs 5) B)not first round C)Not first or second round I thought it was B, someone today told me C. Which is it? |
Re: NFL Playoff Matchup Q
They call the second round the divisional round, but to my knowledge teams aren't forbidden to play one another in any round.

Re: NFL Playoff Matchup Q
It is A. If the Jets finish 6th and Pats finish 3rd the Pats will play the Jets.

Thanks, maybe they're confused with MLB. (MLB still does this right? Wildcard can't play own division leader first round)

Re: NFL Playoff Matchup Q
Yea, it's A. It's looking like the Eagles are going to be playing the Giants in the Wild Card this year (3vs6).

Re: NFL Playoff Matchup Q
It would be pretty hard to be B when it's possible that both wild card teams come from the same division.
