I got a huge problem!

When I am stuck I keep playing, when I am ahead big time I log out.

Today was not different. I play 6 minutes at 1/2 and win $30. Then something in my mind tells me that it cannot keep going like this, so I log out in order to save myself from a terrible setback. Isn't that insane?

For some reason I have no problem to go through 6-8 hour sessions, but once I am ahead big, I feel like I gotta run. No wonder I have well over 70% smaller to medium winning sessions, but my occasional huge losses eat up most of the profit.

so ahead big means 15bb? im confused

however, ive gone thru this myself. set a time limit for every session. everytime i sit down, i play for 1.5hrs. i will never play longer than this for any one session, but i will play shorter if i feel myself tilting (no point playin if ur tilting and makin dumb decisions). u can play multiple sessions in a day, just make sure u take a break between them. this shud help u get out of this mental state.

If i have a huge edge at the session i won`t quit. It doesn`t matter if i am loosing or winning!
My problem is more, that i have the edge and Pahud tells me i am right and then i am playing 4-5h sessions.
I am slightly leaving my a game, i realize and go on autopilot. It`S not that i am making huge mistakes, but it`s not the best at all.
How can i fix that? Taking a break for 5 mins or so?

Read Mike caro in SS2. Then reread it, reread it, and reread it again.

Basically, your decision to stay should depend on the players, your advantage, NOT what has happened to your bankroll recently.

Mason also has some excellent stuff in his books

I had a similar problem, setting a time limit to how long you can play well is ideal, if the players at the table are good switch tables also.

Its completely natural. Do a wiki search about prospect theory for more information concerning this.
