Looking to get into Foreign market, advice appreciated?

I see much potential in the Chinese market, and was hoping to possibly get into some sort of Chinese index fund. Something similiar to what we find in the US. I am just looking for some general guidlines to consider, perhaps some ideal index, and some of the risk involved that would not be found in the US. Just an open queston that will hopefully lead to something more specific. Thanks

These are the two I am intrested in:

Templeton China World Fund: (TCH)

China Fund: (CHN)

I like FXI (iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index Fund). I hold it in my Marketocracy account for the forum contest and has returned 46.39% for me according to the site.

Lots of talk about China putting the breaks on the economy before it overheats and crashes. It can't grow at the present rates forever.

If you're thinking of investing in a Chinese index fund, most advisors would suggest you invest somewhere in the region of 5% of your overall unit trusts into such a fund.

I think specialist funds should be treated more like small additions to spice up an already diversified portfolio.
