Was this avoidable?

I'm just curious if there is anything I should learn from this to perhaps play it differently (i.e. better) in the future? I really don't know why I didn't go all-in with my raise after the flop, fear of putting all my chips in I guess-- But I can see it left me with zero leverage on the turn.

Thanks

Re: Was this avoidable?

The other thing I was thinking is maybe I should have checked the turn instead of putting the rest of my chips in before seeing if a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or straight-making-card comes ... I would at least have had the option of laying it down at that point (I wouldn't have, but someday maybe ).

Tournament buy-in was clearly too big of a portion of your bankroll.
