A spot with AK I might very well have misplayed.

200NL 6-max, effective stacksize $200.

Preflop:
UTG (53/11/2) limps, MP (21/7/1.8) raises to 8, taggish CO calls, I call with AKo in SB, UTG calls.

Flop: KQx rainbow (4 players, pot 34)
I bet 30, UTG folds, MP calls, CO folds.

Turn: x (pot 94)
I check (intending to fold to a reasonable bet), MP checks.

River: x
Now what? I haven't been at the table for long, but I haven't seen MP raise preflop before and he hasn't been involved in many hands.

rr pf, AKo w way sucks.

I would check flop alot, dont like leading.

I would probably either c/c river or b/f.

Ok, I agree re-raising preflop is probably best. I don't like checking the flop though since it will get checked through a fair ammount. Pfr doesn't c-bet often and my guess is he'll only c-bet AA-QQ/AK/KQ/KJ and I don't expect him to raise KJo often preflop (should have included this in op, sorry). Getting the flop checked through would probably be a greater concern if the flop were 2-suited though.

How big do you bet on the river? If you check, how big bet are you paying off?

probably bet fold river... i actually like the flop bet, turn check vs. this many villains

(what are the xs? just curious, as I can't imagine they're both completely blank)

also SQUEEZE pf

The board was KhQc2s 8h 4d. So the turn wasn't a complete blank as it provided a fd, but given that I don't seeing him calling the flop without a King or AA/QQ I considered it a blank while playing.

I'm also curious how much you guys bet on the river. Given my range on him I'm rarely ahead, but I don't have a "real" read so of course my range can be a bit off. I think a split is most likely followed by a passively played AA.

Make a big raise preflop and this hand becomes easier
