Suggestions on screen size/resolution for multi-tabling wanted

Hi everybody,

I'd like to buy a new bigger monitor more suitable for multi-tabling than my old 17". I got my eye on a 22" widescreen monitor (1600x1050) by Acer ... almost a steal at 300EUR/400US$. I was wondering if this resolution is good for MT or if other resoltions are better suited for the task (maybe non-widescreen). Of course other solutions should also fit into this price category

I would welcome any suggestions, hints or experiences you'd like to share.

Thanks,
Chris

most players prefer non-widescreens that will do 1600x1200 since 4 full size 800x600 tables fit the screen perfectly w/o overlap.

Wide screens typically have lower vertical resolution then 1200 (like your 1600x1050 example). They're not wide enough to get 3 tables side by side nor high enough for 2. Obv, they're better for watching 16:9 ratio movies, tho.

It comes down to personal preference if you mind overlap. I hate overlap. Others don't care. I hate resizing tables before removing the overlap. Others don't mind resizing.

So it depends on how you feel about table overlap and weather or not the site(s) you play on allow resizing of tables.
