Do Mushrooms deserve their own thread...
When added to foods they dont taste like anything but merely add a slimy texture. I eat them but often question...why?

Great experiences on mushrooms ... had some of the best times on them. Nothing better than sitting around laughing your asses off at nothing for 3 hours ... the real question is does acid deserve it's own thread ??? I think so ...

Re: Do Mushrooms deserve their own thread...
I don't really eat many mushrooms except during morel season. During those 3 weeks of the year it's basicly the only thing I eat though. I think maybe you just have to eat good mushrooms sometime instead of canned/old crap.

your tongue is not a sponge. the sponginess (new word?) probably stores flavor that would otherwise be cooked away.

I do like oyster mushrooms, they have a very soft and delicate consistency and flavor. Other mushrooms can suck it.
