B&M tourney: Got what I wanted and then ????

Live tourney at Viejas Casino in San Diego:

$300 buy-in, 40 min. limits, 5000 starting chips
We are 30mins into the 3rd limit 100,200.

Hero has 6550
Villian has about 12K

Read on villian was he was playing alot of hands no regard to postion and not using math at all to make calls. So basically a very loose calling station. I was really waiting to exploit this guy.

The Hand:
1 fold
Villian limps UTG+1
All fold to Hero in CO K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I make it 650
All fold to Villian who calls.

Pot= 1600
Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villian checks
Hero bets 1500 (now realizing this might have been to much)
Villian calls

Turn: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian's face lite up here and I really felt that this helped him.

Villian checks
Hero?

If you think it helped him then the correct play is obvious

Go with your read and check behind. Villain may have a 9 or a flush, so see what the river brings. If the river blanks and Villain bets into you, consider a fold. Some may B/F the turn, but I'd rather give my hand a shot to improve. Besides, Villain may check it down even if your hand doesn't improve.

checks behind...if your "read" is correct that this helped. Get a free card to redraw for the best hand.

Could've gotten stubborn with 88 on flop and gone weee yeah when he turned a set.

Still enough reason to check behind and see river action cheaply. I don't see what a turn bet accomplishes here, frankly.

Even if you don't have a read here, it's a check. There aren't many cards that you don't like on the river that aren't already there. h, 9, or A are obv good for you, and by checking the turn, you may get him to fire a bet on the river, thus maximizing value on your hand.

OK so far so good.

I checked behind, the turn brought a blank 2c and villian checks again.

Anyone for a raise here? I really had a hard time in this spot.

i check behind turn and river

1. a physical read wouldnt hurt
2. a worse hand wont call a bet, MAYBE AQ. calling station though...still i dont want to commit alot of chips into a sticky situation like this.
3. if you felt it helped him, why bet?

I probably just check behind on river, I don't see what calls us on the river unless he's such a huge station that he thinks AQ is good.

Worse hand's gonna fold, better hand's gonna raise your river bet. On a board like that, I don't think there's merit in betting for value. TP isn't strong enough against a calling station and any reasonable v-bet is going to commit you to the hand. He's never folding sets, 2 pairs, flushes here.
