Should I push here or make a raise to around 1200 or so?

I push. It makes it look more like a steal.
I want to try to get 1 caller for a great chance to double up.

What's the buy-in?

Anyway, the pot is already t1600-ish. A normal raise should be about pot-sized, to t2000. This raise would commit you, and you should just push it all in instead. It would really suck if you made it t2000, MP3 called, and the flop came A-high. BTW: A lot of thinking players are suspicious to small raises from short-stacks.
