Any Fans of the Richard Sharpe Series on BBC?

Are there any fans of Bernard Cornwell's Richard Sharpe series on the BBC. These shows is by far the best adventure series on the BBC (you need cable for this, obviously). For those of you don't know Richard Sharpe is a fictional character who was a common soldier in the British Army who get promoted to be an officer when he saves the Duke of Wellington's life in battle. The series describes his adventures while he fights Napolean's armies and his fellow British officers he despise him because he wasn't born a 'gentleman'.

The books are top notch as well. They fall under the category of historical fiction and he interects with a lot of famous real-life men. The most fascinating person Sharpe interacts with is Sir Thomas Cochrane in the book "Sharpe's Devil". Cochrane was a first class bad-ass.

He became a top notch British Captain, got knighted, got strip of his knighthood/sento to prison because of a manufactured scandal, escape from jail, went to Chile to command their navy, then to Brazil to command their Navy, then to Greece to command their Navy, and then back to Britain where he was welcomed back. He would attack his enemies outnumbered 15:1 and he would win!!! Total bad ass!!!

Yeah, the Sharpe series are part of the "books I like that the TV series / Movie didn't screw up" category.

Highly recommended - the main character is pretty bad ass, but still a person.

Plus you get to see Liz Hurley's boobies in one of the episodes, so that's a nice bonus.
