Lucky Chances prop bet

Ok PM me if you're interested. We all take $100 to the 3-6 table. Once you win a rack, you go to 6-12. Once you win a rack at 6-12, you take your $400 and can play 1-1-2, 9-18, or 2-3-5. First person to 1000 even gets everyone else's money, minus the original 100. Anybody interested? If a few people are interested, we'll work on table changing rules and other specifics together. FWIW, I will do this heads up.

Win a rack at 3-6 with a $4 rake? I'd have better luck buying a hundred lottery tickets.

If it's a race to $1000, how will people get an even start when you have to wait for a seat?

You sir, have clearly never played 3/6 at lucky chances. 100 dollars is literally 2 pots. You need to run goot, but not as goot as you are thinking. as for even starts, we could do something like you can continue to play at the game you're in until you get assigned to the other table, but can only bring the two racks. AND we can get a chip count once everyone is seated and start. I haven't even really thought this through that well and that was painfully easy to come up w/. I've done this prop bet before. I just think it'd be more fun w/ a bunch of people.

You're right, never at Lucky Chances. I have at Bay 101 and the play sounds similar. I have never run goot enough to win a rack at 3/6. It's essentially like "let's deal out 9 hands and best one wins". I would need above average luck just to maintain break even, and outstanding luck to win big. I guess if I kept trying it would eventually happen, but I could say that about lottery tickets too.

"First person to 1000 even gets everyone else's money"

What does "everyone else's money" mean?

What if half the players lose the entire $100 at 3/6 table?? what's worse is everyone will be rushing to move up, so even more will lose the initial $100 at 3/6.

I would change it to an exact side pot for the winner of prop bet, predetermined amount.. instead of "what's left."

I agree. I've only done this three way before, and only two of us made it out of the 3-6 table. The participants were also all friends, so we should get specifics set better. If you are interested, I am willing to talk it over.

Granted, I am not a regular limit player. But I do play 3-6, 9-18, and 6-12 while I wait for the spread limit tables to free up. I tried 3-6 this morning for the purposes of this bet. It took me an hour to win a rack. THere is a distinct chance you would lose the hundred. But I really think you're making out a rack at 3-6 to be much tougher than it is.
