99 on the button $5/$10 full table

Folded to me on the button with 99. I make it $30 both blinds calls. Sb has about $600 left, bb has $1000 and I have both covered. Both players were new to me but had seen few flops so far.

Flop 456 rainbow. sb checks, bb bets $75, I call, sb folds.

Turn 2h putting 2 hearts on board. BB checks, I bet $175, he calls.

River Tc. bb checks. Seems like my options here are a) check or b) try a small value bet.

I'm pretty new to no-limit, so I was having hard time putting this guy on a hand. It felt like A6/77/67 to me.

I think you should also include some two pair hands in his range. I think I prefer a check here. He's probably not folding any hands you can beat and he probably doesn't call with worse too often either.

I would valuebet here unless you suspect he'll c/r bluff you. Seems like it almost isn't possible to be behind in this spot.

paluka, what would you do with aces in this spot? if you would value bet those, than value bet nines.

the only type of person i would check behind is somebody who is capable of bluff check-raising here. but somebody like that would probably shown up a little earlier on this board.

i bet in this spot but with the caveat that i know what i'm going to do to a c/r. it looks like you do, so bet for the thin value.

Because of his lead-out I put him on a PP. The turn was a scare card for him.
You didnt say which of the 456 was a heart but Ah3h, Ah4h, Ah5h another possibility. I like checking the river with your medium-strength hand. There's 600 in the pot, if you bet another $200 he's folding A4/A5, calling 67/77/88 (win for you), calling his set (lose for you), or you get a CR with A3.

Paluka,

"It felt like A6/77/67 to me."

Then bet $350 and get called.

I have two responses to this:

1) I feel like my read of A6/77/67 was probably coming from my limit holdem instincts, which could be dead wrong here

2) I wasn't so sure those hands would call a river bet of any size.
