I'd call too, not enough in it for a raise, you're not on an outside straight draw, the board is.

Re: Set + OESD

I hate when my pairs flop straight draws; their set-making power is completely compromised.

I would strongly consider folding this on the flop. You have the ass end of a 1-card OESD. Most of your outs make non-nut hands, and at the same time open you up to being beaten by better ones. A 7 is potential trouble, your 3 is potential trouble; the only card that makes you is a 2, and even then your hand is obvious. Your only real hope for a big hand here is to fill up, and on the flop, that's not a reasonable hope.

This situation always winds up being great for winning a small pot or losing a big one, and I usually just let it go on the flop.

Re: Set + OESD

Given a PF call and the fact he liked his hand on the flop I would say villain's most likely range on the turn is:
Beaten: 22, 44-77, 78s, 67s, Xc7c
Ahead: A6s, 88-JJ, 56s, 45s, Xc3c

We look like we are probably a bit better than 50/50 here and we are getting great odds. Since its close and villain is betting I play it passively. I call turn, call up to a PSB on the river, and bet a river check.

Call and make that board pair on the river.
MP could be on a flush draw, so no reason to be too scared, yet.

If you push, only very few hands that you beat may call.

I think you have to call here simply for the odds of filling up.

i don't think the math works since he doesn't have a full stack. getting 3.6:1.
