Being raised on the turn

A major leak of mine is when you have AA's of KK's, your at the micro's, the board is a rainbow, the turn draws a blank, you bet, get c/r'd you call and some donk idiot ends up with a set or a two gap straight. I don't know if I;'m running bad as far as this crap goes or if i can't give up a decent hand....

This isn't a psych question, this is a MSHE question.

Keep track of your opponents not just your cards;
if you bet a ton preflop, keep betting, betting, betting
what do you think your opponent thinks you have?

You are screaming AA or KK and he doesn't care...now that
may be an idiot or a better hand - that part is up to you
to discover. Play poker not just 2 cards.

First off, the "donk" probably knows exactly what you have as you are the one losing the hands? If you are pushing your big pair against a reasonable straight or flush board, I would suggest slowing down post flop. A general rule I follow is if four people are on the turn, one pair is generally not worth very much.

Saving that one BB each time this situation happens can make up for losing in other areas.
