Two Plus Two Newer Archives - So I won $20,000 at the casino yesterday

I was playing some live 5/10 NL and I limped 84s, some guy made it $50, two callers I called. Flop is Q82, I check and call $200 from the PFR, turn an 8, he pushes, I call and stack his KK. The guy beside me challenges me to $25/$50 NL for $10,000 and I accept.

We play HU for a while and I get stuck like 5 or 6k and some more players join.

A couple noteworthy hands...

I open for $200 with 8s4s and get reraised. Flop comes 456 and I call a $1000. Turn is a 4 and I call $3000. River is a 7 and I call $4000. KK no good. lol. If I had raised the turn I would have got all his money, I just couldn't believe he'd play an overpair like that. I'm a fish.

I opened with QQ for $200, got reraised to $500 by a shorty with like 2600. He hadn't reraised yet but I had raised like 12 out of the last 15 hands. I called. Flop is 872, I check, he pushes, I call and his 99 is no good.

Another big hand in a reraised pot with As4s I float the 8s7x2x flop for $1500 (near pot bet), turn a spade, river the 7 of spades and he calls off $5000 with some random pair.

I had J9o and called a raise, flop K10x, $800 pot (4 way), turn low brick putting up two clubs, I call a $500 bet, river the Q of clubs (just a straight, flush on board) bet $2000 and get paid off by K10.

Another good hand I raise PF with K7, get called by tight middle eastern guy, flop AK3, he checks I check. Turn K, he checks I pot $400, he calls. River brick, he checks, I pot $1200 he calls, AJ no good sir.

I also get 107o flop 985, $800 pot 4 way, I might have done the raising. Some guy bets $500, I call, other guy makes it $1500, guy calls, I call. Turn low, check, check, $2000, fold, I call. River 6 immortal nuts I bet $5000 he folds a set, other guy had 97 and I would have gotten all his chips but he folded the turn.

I made a couple sick middle pair call downs, value bet like 3rd pair crap kicker on the river for pot in a decent sized pot once (like $1200). Pulled a few slick bluffs. One flop is K52 I had raised to $200 with 57, three way. Someone bets $600, guy calls, I peel. Turn is 3, guy checks, other guy bets $600, I raise to $2600. It is very important it happened this way because if the first guy bet $600 he would not fold to the raise, despite the fact that it is the same amount. Instinctively he fears the bet-reraise, as he should I suppose. I figure the other guy for a king he will definitely fold to that raise, he was that kind of guy. They both fold K10 and I show. I also bluff a guy off the ace in a $2000 ish pot by raising him another $2600 on his river bet of $800, it just looked like a bet fold type situation.

I opened $200 with 4h5h, flop comes down Jh3h2h, I lead for $400, guy makes it $2000 with AJ no heart, I think for a while and make it $8000 (putting him all in) he folds. If I just call and the turn bricks we get all the money in probably but it's not worth it, plus he will probably call with any big heart there (w/ top pair).

Another hand I post the SB only (and it's live) UTG with J7o. I complete, couple limpers, guy makes it like $300 or something from the blinds. Flop J74 he leads for $1000 and I just call. Turn Q, he leads for another $1000, I make it $3000 and he folds AJ after much deliberation, I get all the money on the flop if I raised but I figured him for an overpair and wanted to see if I got counterfeited / let him pot commit himself a bit more / not face a nasty turn decision in a bloated pot.

Anyway the game is retarded sick and by the end I had like $36000 on the table. I will be back next weekend likely.
