Online vs. Traditional Schools

This is more or less to get some discussion going on your thoughts academic differences between online and traditional schools.

My first bachelor's degree was through distance learning. Currently I am working on a degree at a traditional university. I have seen very little difference in the quality of education. Most topics in the classes are not really taught, but merely regurgitated from the textbook. Also many of my classes have web based homework. No difference from classes I took online. With powerpoints from the lectures being made available on the internet as well, there seems little advantage of attending class.

The one benefit I see from the university, the abilty to seek 1 on 1 help with certain problems. Other then that, I honestly am not currently seeing the benefit.

Your thoughts?

The benefit is when you go look for a job. You got your degree where???? There is obviously a reason why you went to a traditional school after getting a degree online.

I dont think this really applies... I mean were not talking about Devry or ITT or University of Pheonix. I think the OP is curious about going to class at say University of Washington or attending their Distance Ed (Online) Program.
Same curriculum, just no face to face contact.

Ill have my BS in december and Im trying to decide whehter or not to get my MBA online or go to a campus. Its been a lot of fun attending DE and I like it a lot better than the traditional system, where I spent my first two or three years of school.

Ive been able to travel and do cool [censored] that you cant do when your a real student. Some people say Im missing out on the college life but Ive been to parties in San Diego and Vegas. Ive been able to play poker when I want and get [censored] up on week nights and not miss class the next day. And teachers in the current education system suck. I always ended up teaching myself out of the book anyways.
