Turn call is iffy/bad. River call sucks. Of coures he could be floating to rep the ace or have diamonds, but I'm certainly not assuming that without more specific info.

Fwiw...

I didn't think a tag would have an A limping on the btn after 2 limpers. So I felt he had 77/Jxs/diamonds. He called super quick on flop(prolly shoulda mentioned that in op) so i thought Jx or diamonds. Felt diamonds more likely with the smallish bet. So I decided to call and c/c a non-diamond river.

Is this completely ridiculous(just trying to find reasons to call) or does it make a little sense(at least it explains my thinking at the time)?

I think you're just inventing reasons not to fold your beautiful KK to be honest. Plenty of TAGs will limp aces (AXs, sometimes, A9o or ATo).
