Tilt in Real Life

I've been thinking a lot about going on tilt recently, and wondered whether there are any classic examples of tilt in the "real world".

Can anyone think of a great example (in politics, business, etc.) when someone made a truly bonehead decision after a) learning that something unlucky/improbable happened to them or b) after someone got under their skin?

My first thought might not be a perfect fit...

Would Howard Dean's famous "scream" count?

A good one is probably a Baseball manager getting into a big argument with an umpire.

Oh, I just thought of a good one!

Woody Hayes, Football coach for the Ohio State University Buckeyes.

I remember a game that I watched where he grabbed one of the down markers snapped it in half and threw it out on the field.

Even better example. I was in the Marching band there and went to the 1978/1979 Gator bowl vs. Clemson. Game is going badly for the Buckeyes. Late in the game Art Schliester has a pass intercepted and as the guy is returning the interception ho goes out of bounds and Woody clothslines him! OMG! I think we are all going to be killed by the very Clemson crowd and we figure out that Woody has finally totally lost it. Needless to say that was his last game as head coach!

I remember Bobby Night hurling a salad bowl or something at the chancellor during a dinner at an upscale restaurant a few years back, heh.

Another obvious one that comes to mind is John McEnroe. He made watching tennis much more entertaining. Good times.
