help me ID poker pro memoir I read
Around 2001, before the boom kicked off, I came across a memoir on the shelf in Borders Books by a mid-limit grinder. I read most of it in the store, but didn't get around to buying it. Now I'm curious. So the best I can do to identify it is a couple of the anecdotes. He tells of having a female dealer as his significant other. she was also a player, and eventually they started colluding at the table. They got busted when a mark recognized their matching wedding rings. another anecdote was that either he (or someone) did, or joked about, cutting a hole in his pants pocket to j-off while sitting at the table for hours. the main theme of it was the grind of playing midlimits over months and years.
anyone know what this book is? |

This is from Poker Nation by Andy Bellin, in the chapter titled "Small-Time Pros." It is about Dicky Horvath.
