KQ flopping K with A on board

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 4 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, BB folds.

Turn: (7.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls.

River: (10.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 10.25 BB

I guess betting the flop into 5 players with second pair and a backdoor flush is wrong?

On turn I planned to fold to a raise and on the river to call if it was one bet back to me.

where are your reads??

check flop and re-evaluate.

as played, turn bet is good.

river check sucks. wtf happened there?

I bet all streets and fold to any resistance on turn/river.

No reads this time, I'm afraid ... I was tired and playing at a friend's place without PT.

River I thought that I could have been slowplayed, so if I checked I could either catch a bluff or fold if the action went bet-raise. But I suppose I should bet and fold to a raise?

What are you hoping to accomplish by betting out on this flop? I'd check here and see what happens. If it's bet, I'd take one off and reevaluate. It's unlikely that you're ahead here, and you don't have all that many outs. You'd like to get players out with your hand, not encourage them to come along.

Hmmm...yeah, that was sort of ill thought out...

You aren't expecting to win this hand with a pair of kings--betting out is likely to get callers. You'd prefer to check-raise a bet from late position with this beast. I suppose the contradiction is that I said I'd just take one off. I revise my position: I go for a check-raise with this thing.

Really? With three cold callers preflop, I'd be really hard-pressed to believe that there isn't at least one if not two aces out there, and at this level, nobody's gonna fold one of them. I want to see the turn card for one bet, and for zero if possible. I don't think a c/r is going to accomplish what you're trying to accomplish at all.
