Brown Thumb was a Hoax!
 

I never got around to it at the time, but I made up Brown Thumb. He is just character I based on a real player. After the thread started, that player P.M.'d me (because he was actually named in the thread). After the thread got rolling, he changed his Party name to Brown Thumb. So, he went ahead a played along.

I don't even smoke P.O.T.

So you copied Brown thumb based on the party player Jeff78 (or whatever he was) who liked to chat at the tables about how much P.O.T. he was smoking?

Yes. His name was Nick76. Another guy at Absolute named "ThumbinMouth" played suspiciously close to NIck76 and also chatted the same way. I deducted they were the same player. It turns out that I was correct.

I really thought it was a Jeff but it was over 2 years ago I think.

I stayed up until about 6am just because I had position on that maniac. I wasn't leaving until he left.

He was probably 95/80 or something ridiculous like that.

I still think the "Poo Mountain" thread was the best ever. LOL, real or not, it was entertaining.

There was a Brownthumb at Bigbet who became the same player at Absolute and was an action player. He acted the same at the tables as in that thread so I guess I was fooled.

I'm sure Poker Mountain enjoyed that thread, it was probably the last bit of bad press to finish them off. Not that they ever had a shot to begin with.

But I feel like I just got told that Santa Claus isn't real.
My whole universe has been turned upside-down with the realization that Brown Thumb is/was a hoax.

I was the Brownthumb at Bigbet. I was a prop there and I made a second account to goof off with.

Sorry about that. That is why Brown Thumb had such a short shelf-life. I couldn't think up andything else for that "character" since I don't really live like that.
