My TPGK being called down

Villain was a 50/8, passive sort of guy - but only about a dozen hands with him.

$25NL 6-max
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($38.13)
SB ($35.27)
Hero ($45.05)
UTG ($27.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, SB (poster) completes, Hero raises to $1.25, UTG calls $1.25, SB folds.

Flop: ($3.25) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $3, UTG calls $3.

Turn: ($9.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $5, UTG calls $5.

River: ($19.25) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $6, UTG calls $6.

Final Pot: $31.25

I haven't achieve anything near comfort in playing OOP against passive calldowns with marginal/decent holdings. This pot seemed to get awfully big for the hand I had.

Your river bet is roughly the worse size possible. Bet half pot or more or check to give the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] a chance to bluff.

I check call the turn, and do the same on the river. You shouldnt have posted that he called your river bet because now I'm thinking he may have you beat, when before I thought he had the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and missed. I'm lost as to what hand gets here in the first place, calls the river, and loses to you.

I would play this more aggresive.

flop bet is fine
bet ~8 on turn
bet ~ 11 on river - I may c/c river

so which hands can he have?

Of course he could have a made flush on the flop but not likely.

KQ, KJ, KT, K9s, [Ad]x are the most likely holdings IMO.
You split with KQ but beat all the other holdings.

44 and 77 are possible but less likely than above.

Re: My TPGK being called down

Because of villain being somewhat short, a bigger turn bet would be justified, maybe 3/4 to full.

As played, well you know.

Edit: disregard Hud stats with such a miserably low sample size
