pretty standard fold of the nuts here right?

ok, tribeca 15k gtd, $27 rebuy, down to the final 3.

stacks are 470k for me, 400k for villian, 220k for the other guy. ive been chipping away at them both since it got down to 3 way. blinds 6k/12k

villian limps on the button, SB limps, i check with A6dd

flop comes Jc Qh Ks and is checked around. turn is Tc. SB checks, i bet 20k, villian pushes, SB folds, I fold?

what, why? if he has a freeroll then that sucks. call.

if he has a set/2p and he sucked out, that sucks. call.

OK there's about a 20% chance villain wins this hand if he's freerolling the flush and Hero only splits otherwise, and a slightly higher chance that he fills up on the river if he has a set, though in that case Hero has a huge advantage the other 70-odd percent of the time.

I suppose depending on the payout structure you could make a case for folding (I'm not going to do the math, but I can fathom the possibility), but that would only be the case if you absolutely knew he was free-rolling with Ax clubs. I doubt there has to be much chance that this is a set/two pair/ass-end of the straight to make the potential for doubling up rapidly outweigh that possibility though.

Toss in a few other short stacks, and this gets a lot more interesting, too.

I fear I am going to feel stupid making a serious response to this thread, but if for some reason you were going to fold to a push, then don't bet the turn.
