Wait till turn to raise?

MP1 is 50% vpip, and will bet almost any flop he intends to continue on, top pair, 2nd pair, 3rd pair, gutshots. He hasn't shown down a monster, so I'm not sure what he will do with those. Once he starts betting, he will not stop until played back. Then he starts calling down with anything, sometimes calling river with weak hands, sometimes folding.

MP2 is 25% vpip, very passive postflop. Not sure how he would play a monster, but he would not do anything tricky like raise with a marginal hand.

My main question is should I raise the flop or wait and raise the turn as I did.

Re: Wait till turn to raise?

First of all, raise preflop.
The reason I almost never slowplay these, is not to give weak draws a shot. If it was Heads up, I can understand waiting for the turn to raise, but when it's multiway, it's really really terrible to give away cheap cards whith your top pairs. I mean what if BB has A6, QJ, a gutshot or something? You can't blame him later for outdrawing you. He can make a profitable call after you call.

They will call on the flop anyway, so he can't protect the hand, plus he gets another bet in on the turn, which may not have happened otherwise. I think waiting for the turn to raise was good.

Then bet the river as well.

I think the way you played it is standard. I agree you should raise pf though.

BB is yet to act, and there's a chance that MP1 3bets so MP2 can get out. We just have a weak hand that doesn't improve, against a field of 4 people who will try and draw out on us. Play it fast IMO.

Since the hand wasn't raised preflop (raise preflop btw), a raise on the flop protects his hand against basically everything but an OESD.
