So, its over

I tilted away the last little bit of my roll today, and frankly I'm glad I did.

I've been playing poker for years in the real world, and I win 3 out of 4 times I play. Online I win like, well, never. Its amazing the things I've seen. Some of the ways I've been beaten would be stickied in this forum they are so bad.

It really makes me wonder if the tin-hat crowd saying Online poker is rigged is really right. Who knows. I just don't care anymore. My last hand online was a true reflection of my 2 year online poker experiment. Check this out. I'm not making this up:

6-Max at UB

I'm on the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], its a 1/2 NL game, so I raise the pot to $9, 1 caller in the BB.

The board comes 8 7 2 rainbow, and I push hoping to just take down the pot. (I was tilting so I was pushing on anything, basically.)

BB thinks a minute and calls. BB turns out to have 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I shared that tidbit now so you could enjoy how this hand turns out.

Turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Notice how he turned his nut straight, I'm already drawing dead. He's hit the nuts. Great. Fun, yippee. I know this was a tilt all in, but this is pretty much how it goes for me online. Well, not exactly, usually I would have flopped top pair or something, so at least the villan really ran me down.

Now the river:

9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He turned the nut straight and rivered a better straight.

It was a sign. The sign was, spend money on booze and video games and uninstall all poker apps. So, I did and I will.

Just to give you an idea just HOW bad I run, I put in hand histories for my last 17 sessions at Party into one of those good luck / bad luck things (EVTester) that shows your outcomes vs. expectations. My HIGHEST luck of all 17 sessions was 59% where 50% is the average luck score. (50% meaning you're getting close to expected results.)

My AVERAGE luck score was under 12% and my lowest was 1.2%. Unreal. At least I know that its not just me. I really am getting beaten with the variance stick.

Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy this. I sure did. Off to uninstall and purchase scotch.

He flopped the straight. Unless your flop is wrong.

I put it in there wrong he didn't flop it, it was a 2 of "some [censored] suit that didn't help me", not a 4.

I was skeptical at first, but then when I saw the river card, all doubt of your unluckiness vanished. Tough beat.

People who push integer multiples of the pot with Ace high should never go broke!
