How Does Full Tilt Stack Up?

I have been playing NL ring games on both Party and FT for quite a while now and haven't noticed a huge difference in the quality of players. It seems that people at FT are less likely to buyin for the max amount, but that's about it. I would just like to hear your thoughts and comparisons of FT to Party.

Apparently no one else has seen major differences either?

Full Tilt is great for a few things, and decent for a few others.

If you like playing NL cash games, Full Tilt has what you want at pretty much any stakes. The games are probably just as good as on party, and quite numerous (though not as numerous as on Party). Plus, FT almost always has big (but slow clearing) bonuses, which means you can accrue quite a few bonus dollars with some patience. You can get rakeback on FT as well, so look into that before signing up.

For tournaments, FT is awesome. They run tournaments around the clock, and the structure tends to be better than on Party -- thoug maybe not as good as on Stars. What's more, they have lots of tourney options you won't find elsewhere... lots of satellites into the bigger tourneys, token SNGs to affordably earn entry into bigger events, etc. They even have HORSE (Hold'Em, Omaha, Razz, Stud, Stud/Eight) tournaments, which I love. I think they're the only ones on the 'net to have these.

If your game is small or mid-stakes limit hold'em, however, Full Tilt really isn't a good option. They generally have only 1 or 2 tables going at 5-10, 8/16, 15/30 weeknights, at least as far as I recall.

Otherwise, their software is great, their player point store is awesome (ahem, Party...), the support is solid, and while it isn't worth much in terms of $/hr, it is cool to drop in every now and then to play against Chirs Ferguson or Phil Ivey, and they're logged in to FT more than you'd think, sometimes playing low buy tourneys.

Isn't that due to their servers, not their software?

Most likely, but it is possible that their software could be causing their servers to crash.
