Office Security

What are the typical entrance security procedures at your place of business?

If you don't have a card you swipe, what do you do? Do you get frisked/X-Rayed, etc.?

(Having your bags checked might just be a NY post-9/11 thing, not sure if it's died down yet.)

We have a magnetic card thing that we keep in our wallets. We just put it up next to the card reader thing and the door unlocks.

What kinds of places frisk you before coming to work? I need to get a job there....

That's why I said I'm not sure if that's ever done - I went into a few offices in New York around 2002 and I was heavily frisked, but that was with Orange Alert and all that.

I'm pretty sure not posting our office security procedures on the Internet is one of our office procedures.

Well I could walk into your building and see what people are doing, most likely. What I'm asking for is not that private.

Retina scan. If that is not working (which is usually teh case) than they draw some blood for DNA matching. Pretty standard stuff really.

Hubby works across the street from Ground Zero. When he went for his interview he didn't have a pass. His name was on the list, they asked for ID, frisked him, took a pic and gave him a day pass then let him go. Took almost 10 mins. He definately wasn't expecting such high security.
