5/1044 hand

Live $5/$10 NL at Windsor Casino. The game is decent at the moment, with three real soft spots, four rocks, two LAGS and myself.

I open limp 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], two callers and a LAG raises to $50 on the button. He has $2300 and I cover. I call, other limpers fold.

Flop ($135) coes down
2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I check and call $100.

Turn 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($335) [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I lead $150, he calls.

River 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($635)
I check?

How did I play this hand so far? I think preflop / flop are standard and I like the turn bet because
A) he is really hard pressed to raise a solid player like myself with an overpair here
B) he folds overcards here most of the time
C) it charges a flush draw
D) if he does have AK of flush suit etc and he spikes his ace on the river this may induce him to make a bad call

Should I block the river? Call if he value bets / overbets?

I will post results later on today.

I bet more on the turn if i'm going to lead. Otherwise I check raise sometimes, and check fold other times. Occasionally I will check call again. I really dont like leading for half the pot after check calling on the flop. Pretty much tells him you have some sort of mediocre holding.

everytime i'm at windsor, the highest game going on is 2/5NL...what time/day of the week was a 5/10 game going on?

The line is good and standard, but you need to bet more on the turn. T
his line looks a lot like what it is, a moderate strength hand. Against very tricky opponents you are setting yourself up to be raised. The alternative is to checkraise the turn, which is good if he is thinking and respects your raises.

It runs when there's interest, although it usually gets going fridays and saturdays pretty consistently. Just call ahead, put your name on it and talk to the floor.
