Sharkscope

At what level of SNG does Sharkscope become worth it's $14.99/month pricetag?

I'm currently 8-10 tabling $16 & $27 Turbos on Stars. I see a lot of regulars on there, but I'm not sure what advantage Sharkscope would give me over just using Poketracker and PokerAce.

Anyone?

I think they get all their info right from the gaming sites, so why would it be illegal?

I don't see how it can be that advantageous over Poker Tracker/PA Hud. Unless the subscriber side gives you a lot more info than the free searches.

It's not illegal.
I contacted Poker Stars before I signed up to make sure it was OK, and they said it was. Sharkscope is using data that's available to everyone,i.e. the finishes and payouts for SNGs and MTTs.
I use it for MTTs. Especially when I get moved to a new table, near the bubble, and at the final table. I find it surprising how many Final Tables are comprised of money losers and fish, at least for the Stars $22-180 MTTs. This info in itself was worthwhile and helped my confidence at this stage in the MTT.
If you don't play many MTTs, I can't think of why it you'd need it. I don't sign up every month, but I do some months. It's a fun tool, but I wouldn't say it's a "must Have".

Re: Sharkscope

Just because someone is a winning player doesn't mean they push/call correctly on the bubble. I had a person who was on 8 tables with me call my 13.5BB button push with K5o in the BB (they had 14BB). I won the hand but later ran it through SnGPT and it was -3% even if I was pushing any two (which I clearly wasn't, in fact I had QQ) which is a horribly disgusting mistake. And he was a winner over 1500+ SnGs.

So obviously making a note on this player tells me way more than sharkscope ever could.

However I think where it does come in handy is when you're up against an unknown in early levels. When you see the little fishbowl you know he'll likely call down full PSBs when you have TPTK with your AK.

Take notes on the regulars, sharkscope the unknowns.

This is exactly the same as poker edge, only for S&Gs. Shouldn't this be forbidden?

Maybe Stars wants to take a stand and say what they think?
I know, I know, Stars doesn't like to take a stand and risk losing some players, especially the ones that cheat but pay a lot to their favourite site. They have found a nice niche allowing cheaters to safely play at heir site. Way to go!
