Villain runs at 54/23/1.5, but he was running alot more aggro at the time upto this hand.

If you put him on a heart draw, you have to be prepared to c/f the river if he checks behind the turn, and a heart falls on the river. I only like this play if you're very certain BTN will bet if you check the turn. I like this play more if you have the Ah.

If you put him on something like TP, I don't mind it. However, keep in mind that if he has the K or A or hearts, he's probably calling your shove. Risky w/o the Ah imo.

He was running very aggro at the time so I was about 99% sure he could bet this turn with top pair or a draw.

Meh, if he only has a high heart, you're laying him 2.6:1 odds, so if he calls it's a bad play. You'd actually rather him have the Ah than Kh, because if he has the Kh, it give him 3 more outs to beat your pair of jacks.

I think the thing we have to worry about the most here is him having a pair of jacks with a flush draw. In that case, he has 9+3=12 outs, still not giving him odds to call.

Aww hate this kind of spots, my personal opinion is that i dislike doing this without a heart to fallback on in my hand since i find that in 3suit flops people only play bigpots with a flopped flush, nutflush draw or set. So without a good read your only ahead of draws wich occurs rather seldom.

I would probably wait for a better spot.. but i'm flamed for being nitty sometimes [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Risky play. I don't check that turn, but I'm also really aggressive so...

The play worked out for you, though, pushing after he bet is definitely the play.

Yeah if i've seen him showdown with marginal holdings in bigpots i would be inclined to do this more. But just being also have to be taken account with bord texture. My personal opionion is that even aggro villains are less inclined to be aggro on this kind of board than usual.

About raising the flop, a flushdraw or made flush might very well just call or slowplay. Your right he would most probably reraise a set on this board so the likelyhood for him having that is smaller.

Preflop is nice flop play is nice, but i dont really like the turn play.
