LHE Isolation Reraise
 

What is a good rule for the amount of equity you need to attempt an isolation reraise in LHE? 50% does sound reasonable, but does your position affect the equity that you need? What if you are in early position or middle position with very loose players behind you, that are just as likely to call 3 bets cold as they are to call 2 bets cold?

clearly position affects it, if its full ring are u iso'ing as UTG+1 when UTg raises, obviously an easy answer

and if loose players behind u then u dont iso as much with marginal holdings. And equity changes constantly from who is behind you and the stats on players, this is way way too general to give a good answer to

The purpose of the question is this: is the increased (heads up) equity that you would/should need significant? Is the situation still reraise/fold or is cold calling now correct?

It's best to make the play with hands that have unimproved showdown value.

A hand like T9s will have around 50% equity against a loose limper but doesn't actually play very well HU and has a lot of value if you limp and others come in the pot.
