How high are taxes in your area?

Link

The link contains the average tax burden by state imposed by the state and local governments and numbers adjusted for per capita income. The District of Columbia has the highest burden and Alabama has the lowest burden.

Edit: Link fixed.

What link are you referring to? I'm looking at the 2006 state tax collections and it looks like people in Wyoming and Vermont are getting screwed.

Andddd Chuck Hagel introduced a bill this week that would raise taxes another 4% on single people making >150k or married couples making >200k. Man, I can't wait for Dems to take over the white house!
