what are T$ and W$ and what is the differnece

Both are PokerStars only.

T$ are spendable in any tournament (including SNGs and sats)
W$ are spendable in any 'event' tournament such at PCA, WPT, WSOP, WCOOP. This includes sats as well as main events.

T$ are more flexible and therefore more valuable. Basically they are worth face value b/c of this.
W$ are less valuable because of these limitations.

To add to the first response, you get T$ and W$ by winning 'Stars satellites to bigger tourneys/events and unregistering for those.
