2-3 nl; 300 max hand

dicking around in a live 2-3 nl game 300 max buyin. i have around $350 in front of me. opponent on the button has me covered. ive played one hand AK (showing down the winner) and i think button's noticed im playing tight, i came over with a few racks from a 20-40 game that broke and the table reacted scared. we're 6 handed utg straddles $6. some guy calls, button who seems not too terrible in our first half hour sitting calls, i call 4 more dollars with 9d8d, bb calls, straddler checks.

the flop is Td3d6h. i bet $20, straddler calls, button makes it $80. i think forever and call the $60 more, straddler folds.

the turn is the As, i have $275 left, i think for a little bit and bet $140.

comments?

ur hand really looks like a draw, just in the sense that i dont think ud have TT from preflop action, and i dont think ud be taking such an "i dont want action let me put you to the test kthx" line on the turn with anything looking for value. especially given ur betcall on the flop, ur essentially repping 33/66/weird draw, more weighted towards weird draw. so im not sure exactly how much fold equity you would have against something like AT/KT/JJ. but i gather that it wouldnt be as much as ud think.

i think a better line is to b/3b to 210 w sets and draws on the flop...

in a limped pot u can just fold when he raises to 80. stacks aren't very deep, and your draw isn't very well concealed for the most part. i'm guessing u led turn to try to get him to fold a ten, which may work although you have to call a push now. i would like the bet/3-bet line more if it were a raised pot but people tend to not get so out of line in limped pots ime. given you called the flop i would just c/f the turn.

Like. If you're image is TAG and rarely bluffing, I cannot imagine him calling here without AT or set (which r very unlikely). Nice play. Even if he moves you in, you still have 30% chance vs like any random hand, and you have lots of $ in the pot.

i think id have no chance of getting AT to fold but i loved my chances of making QT or something fold.

it definitely crossed my mind to push on the flop, but i thought i could call the raise safely enough and possibly maneuver my wy into doubling through him on the turn/river if i hit or perhaps steal the pot if an interesting card fell. i felt like if i pushed the flop i made it too easy for a T to call and even though i have a lot of outs twice i didnt love that spot given stack sizes.

feeling pretty good about this hand although it was close between continuing, pushing, or folding on the flop. check-call small bet on the flop has merit too.

Why is it easy for a ten to call? If he calls a shove with like KT than it's not the sort of player you are going to creatively move off a hand, just get it in while you are at least 50/50.

God I hate live poker.

thats why i like the 3bet to 210, way more fold equity for effectively the same play.

if villain is thinking at all he should know the ace didnt help you, and you're using it to bully him. at least, i think.

however if hes retarded, meh, there are merits in your line. but it's very transparent imo. i dont think you use that line with the goods ever.
