before 2007 i've never taken a favorite that was giving more than 14 points almost out of principle. Now I've bet on NE every week but I just can't do it this week. FFS Philly has to keep this game closer than 22 points, umm right?

Tell me why. I'm liking NE, 22 or not. It's like McNabb doesn't have a team to play with.

NE is one of the most dominant teams in a long time, I have full faith they can win by 30.

Mostly because Philly could backdoor cover 21 if Brady comes out early. CIN, CLE, and MIA all covered 21 vs the Pats. Philly is better than CIN and MIA. 2 other games(NYJ and SD) NE won by "only" 24.

If the line was -19, I would be on it.

I am on the over(50) though for 2u. NE is averaging 41 pts per game. Their game O/U has gone over 50 7 out of 10 games this year. The 3 that didn't were 45, 44 and 47.

The Pats back-door covered against Clev as Clev was down 10 and driving with a minute left...fumble rec for TD screwed everyone that wasn't lucky enough to jump on Clev at 17.

Cinci and Miami were road games.

I like Philly at 24, not less than that. I may take the Pats if the line holds under 23 through Sunday.

Anyone that bets against NE at ANY line under 30 deserves what they get imo.

So if I bet against the Pats and they don't cover, I deserved it? Thanks.

Bet against them and see how that works out for you. Thats all Im saying. I just cant understand how any sane person watching the NFL this year could do it. Good luck though.

Pats -24.5 is 3-7 this year, so thanks for the well thought out advice.

the only reason i can imagine betting against pats is that sports books know that everyone jumps on every pats line so if they can put up a line they wont cover they get a huge day

At the beginig of the week I took the birds +22; I couldn't see how anyone wouldn't. The line is now +24; with the moneyline at 25 to 1. I'm throwing 1/10u on the birds moneyline, too.

Do the Eagles really have less than a 5% chance of winning? They are both pro teams, right?
