Stars 1500 FPP satellite...

Could this be the best way to max your money for FPP's?

It costs 50,000 FPP's to earn $650 for a platinum member. If you used those 50,000 FPP's for the 1500 FPP satellite, you would play in 33 of these tournaments. It is a winner take all tourny, but for each win you net around $200 (after you sell the ticket). If you simply win 4 out of 33, you would net $800.

If you have a basic understanding of how a SNG works, is it better to do this than use the FPP's for cash bonus'?

I think valuing your time at all would make this a no.

Yes.

If you 8 table you can clear this in less than 4 hours.

If you play SNGs well then your time will be compensated with the extra expectation.

It depends entirely what your expected hourly rate is playing tournaments normally. If you make $60ph playing six tournaments, you need to make something like $10 on top of the normal value by playing the 1500 FPP game, as it's taking one of your tables away.

So, let's say that you win 15% of the 1500 FPP games you enter, vs. 11% average. You therefore add ~35% more to the value of the FPP by converting them direct to T$. Therefore each FPP is worth 0.0217c instead of the 0.013c you'd get with that bonus at Platinum. So, 50k FPP would be worth $650 that way, or $1085 if you convert by tournaments, a +$435 difference.

50k FPP worth of SNG would take a total of ~33 hours (I'm just randomly assuming it takes an hour to complete, I haven't looked). This means you are getting 435/33 ~= $13ph more by converting the FPP that way. I think.
