Why? That's an ignorant point of view unless you're levelling. I read some of your well and you seem to be extremely enthusiastic towards embracing other cultures so I've no idea why you would be put off going to Thailand just because several members of a forum live/are travelling here.

Thailand is a great country to live in and is somewhere I'd recommend for anyone with a keen interest in travelling.

Having Krabi or Ko samoi for base is really nice. Its really cheap to fly in thailand, (airasia). And those spots are awesome.
