50NL Boat to Quads....how do I get more value?

How do I get more value out of hand like this? Should I have just gone ahead and led on the flop? Was the min check raise too obvious? Should I have led the turn?

Bet flop instead of repping massive strength by check/minraising? Rest of the hand is fine, I'm surprised he called the river.

My thought was that any diamond draw or draws would put me on trips...stick around for the min reraise...and pay me off if they got there thinking they were ahead.

I don't know how your opponents think but this is how it would be for me.

"I think I'll make a small bet to juice the pot if I hit", "oh noes he be c/r'ing me maybe I shouldn't be calling since the board is paired and I can lose alot if I hit my hand".

If you lead my thinking isn't that way because you're not repping hands that I don't want to be against, you're repping a 6, 4, or draw and there are more combos of sixes and draws than fours.

To me once you c/r into a field you're just giving away your hand and it's difficult to get value if people know what type of hand you have.

It's a limped pot, just pot every street.

Also, don't show results.

Bet, bet, bet, bet, bet. The way you get value is by value betting when your opponent has a hand. Sometimes they don't have a hand and you get nothing. But you were never going to get anything in that case. In this case, your opponent had a hand. Don't worry so much about getting an extra bet on the end if he happens to make something.

I hate the c/min-raise line with sets. c/min-raise + some other big action post flop is usually an alarm bell for the preflop raiser with an overpair.

Lead the flop for 3/4 pot. You might do this with 55,77-TT, for example, and you will often get JJ-AA to raise. I think leading as the default play, and only occasionally c/r'ing or even c/c'ing to mix things up is probably better for playing your sets OOP like this vs fairly tight preflop raisers who are likely to have a big pair.

I also think a 1/2 pot bet on the turn might be better than c/c or c/r.

As played, bet more on the river. Villain might actually call a 3/4 pot bet with AK (2-pair with ace kicker). So, at least bet 3/4 pot. Make it about $13.

Just lead this on every street. The bets do not have to be too large.
