I knew they were making a few movies and would then be showing new episodes on cable (I thought it was gonna be Comedy Central for some reason, but looks like Cartoon Network), but I only just found out the disappointing news that these were actually one and the same, according to the site, after Bender's Big Score they'll be three other movies, entitled "The Beast with a Million Backs," "Bender's Game," and "The Wild Green Yonder," released through 2008. Then all four will be re-edited as 16 TV episodes that will air on Cartoon Network.

This is good news everybody. I thought it was going to be Cartoon Network the whole time, kinda like when Family Guy got remade. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole DVD releases being made into episodes for TV a la "Stuey's Movie". Anything that involves more Futurama is by far a great thing for all.

edit: The hostile take over episode idea reminds me of "That 80's Guy" episode. I hope it will not be too similar.

Woah...I don't know how I feel about it being a movie, but I'm defintiely planning to buy all of these as of right now.

Just think of it not so much as a movie, but as a 2 or 3 part episode.

I love the idea of more futurama by why not just make normal 30 minute episodes? Is this a more profitable method?
