Jacks are monster compared to the garbage you play

I limped intending to limp reraise one of the fishy min raises that were going on. How is the preflop cold call?

Fine, but limp-reraising is not a good play. Against jacks it's pretty much going to let your opponents play perfectly unless they're really bad, in which case you should raise anyway.

Your call pf is pretty good since he'll never put you on something as strong as jacks so you should get paid off fairly well if he has the overpair he's representing.

andrew, you have 2400 posts in less than 2 months.

When do you find time to play poker? If you're answer is, while your playing, my poker advice would be to post less.

Forget about limp reraising for the most part in these games.

first, 6 handed you are less likely to have the opportunity to limp reraise. and secondly, JJ is not really a good hand to do this with. you fold only worse hands, and give away your hand.

I dunno, Andrew. JJ is not exactly a hand you want to limp from UTG. You may wind up confusing yourself - say CO miniraises, you reraise, CO calls. Now does he have KK-QQ or does he have A10s thinking that you are putting a move on him. Now you are OOP and your information is murky. The pot has balooned a few more BBs than desirable with JJ UTG. Of course, his info is not great either, but he has position, and any K or A is gonna [censored] you harder than it's gonna [censored] him.

The cold call is just fine. However, do you see the spot you put yourself in by limping UTG? Button's reraise would have had a lot more meaning if you just raised UTG. Unless, of course, you have a really good read on button (like, he's raising EVERYTHING and is ready to stack off with QJ or somethin').

The other problem, Andrew, is that limping JJ from UTG and then calling a big raise is an announcement that you have a huge hand. You're range becomes KK-AA. So, you are now either going to win a decent sized pot on the flop or lose a bigger one.

You got lucky you hit your set, otherwise you are basically leaving this pot, unless you're read on button is super strong. So what did he have: KK? or AhA?

btw, the girl on your profile icon is really hot. Is she "That 70s Show" girl?

A'
