NL50 - AK in 3-bet pot

The two villains are unknowns as I just sat down at the table.

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 8 Players
LeggoPoker Hand History Converter

BB: $22.75
UTG: $31.15
UTG+1: $55.95
MP1: $51.85
MP2: $57.50
CO: $92.45
Hero (BTN): $50
SB: $49.50

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $1, 3 folds, Hero raises to $4, SB folds, BB calls $3.50, UTG+1 calls $3

Flop: ($12.25) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets $6, Hero ?

Should I play for stacks here and reraise? Or is this like super standard?

I would raise it to 18-20$. This weak lead looks weak ace, draw or QQ to me.

Reraise to $18-20, post what happens next.

Re: NL50 - AK in 3-bet pot

okay, so I reraised to $18 just as you said, then:

Flop: ($12.25) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets $6, Hero raises to $18, BB calls $18, UTG+1 raises to $51.95 and is All-In

I guess it's a call here as half of my stack is in the pot, $28 to call to win $120, I'm commited?

I would fold because BB call looks EXTRA strong and UTG1 told - I have a hand. I think you are behind. Fold.

I see what you mean. Would you call if it was HU?

Line to this point looks good...

Actually, you would be putting in $28 to win ~ $101 if my math is right, so about 3.6:1 odds. You need at least 22% equity to call correctly here.

Against ranges of JJ+,33,AJs+,KQs,AKo,AJo and KK+,JJ,33,AJs+,KQs,AKo,AJo you have 22% equity. I think your opponents ranges are probably a little wider here (include flush draws and hands like KJ or QT or something else stupid). The pot is big, you might be beat but I think you will win the pot more than 22% of the time, which justifys a call here. You also have a backdoor nut flush draw

Call and hit your runner runner flush.

I would call this on those odds... it's possible you're up against AA with his donk minraise preflop, but not likely... could be AQ or Arag or flush draw. Too much in the pot for me to go away at this point.

Re: NL50 - AK in 3-bet pot

Meh I really don't like just calling the flop. He is never donkbet/folding an A here, so we don't have to worry about pushing that away. We are not getting any more money out non A pair hands, since players who gaybet lead flops like this usually shutdown after resistance or agression.

Also, this pot is still multiway possiblity if we call, I think we need to shutout BBs possible draws or weaker 1pair hands that he might overcall w/.

And, lets get some money in now before a scare card falls on the turna nd causes us to have to shutdown, or worse causes villain to shutdown and not pay off.
