Producing tolerance isnt really worse for you. Like I said, tolerance is mostly a function of increasing the amount of enzymes in your liver that metabolize and get rid of all the alcohol.

generally everything you've said has been spot on, but tolerance is most definitely bad for you.

tolerance increases the level of the drug you have to consume in order to get the same effect, and higher levels of alcohol in your blood for longer means more damage to your body. an increase in those liver enzymes also causes over-metabolism of other things, causing stuff like low testosterone. tolerance is also more or less integral to producing dependence, both of which lead to abuse.
