5 sng. A turn semi-bluff, wtf?

So, I got this moron down to near nothing, but he has went on a nice heater and came back on me. I know this because he was playing passive/betting small/ bluffing bad all game, and all of a sudden found the courage to make pot-sized bets.

Maybe I am less lucky than the average person, but I never ever hit 100 flops in a row.....

Stupid rant? NO, because I have the hardest time believing that players can run like god so often when I can't recall this happening to me more than...once, and that was because I played that particular game like a total idiot and somehow won.

And so, perhaps this is what is called classic "monkey tilt," and I somehow have convinced myself that this guys is trying to walk all over me, though for the past 40 hands 74 off soot is starting to look like a monster because it could make a straight.

Hopefully every one skipped over the last two paragraphs, sometimes it helps to write it out.

From experience, I'd say you're getting called a lot, and always by a better hand. But I dunno, I like to think I run like ass too.

fwiw, these spots tilt me so [censored] hard.

I suggest raising to at least 125 preflop here. The fold equity is well worth the extra 25 chips.

I'd shove if you think he is bad enough to take this line without a jack+, otherwise I'd call and fold unimproved.

This is one of the reasons why I prefer raising 3X the bb even at this stage of the game . You still have some maneuverability if villain shoves and you define your hand much better this way .

Dave , I recall you also made a similar post about this in your reply to ChicagoRy's thread on how to play this stage of the game .

Yes, jay, I did. I have been experimenting with 2x. I agree that I am still very uncomfortable playing like this, and will probably go on back to 3x. Better to figure this stuff out now while the money don't matter so much.
